Alcaraz Beats Djokovic and Moves to US Open Final Against Sinner

It’s men’s semifinals US Open New York, where on Friday, Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz had scored a massive win over Novak Djokovic. The scores were 6-4, 7-6(4), 6-2 helping Alcaraz win. He’s into the final. Some time later Italy’s Jannik Sinner beat the Canadian player Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 and made it to host Alcaraz sure to meet Sinner in the US Open final Alcaraz to host Sinner on Sunday.

The final is fun as these two players are ‘new kids’ to men’s tennis. Alcaraz is 22, as Sinner is 24. They both have played in this year’s two Grand Slam finals. Alcaraz was the winner in June after beating Sinner at the French Open- three match points saved there. The Wimbledon after was where Alcaraz took the title from Sinner in July. Their followers are eagerly waiting for their third big clash.

The Alcaraz-Djokovic match was electric. The crowd was full on their feet, cheering so loud. He has 24 majors, but he’s 38 years old. Tennis needs new icons once players like Djokovic begin to drift off, so it would be nice to know who the top players are today. Who hadn’t at least heard of the great Djokovic when in 2023 he won the US Open? Obviously, a youngster much, it would seem. This match can be enjoyed by fans on TV or with live streaming, as the poster says date with history for tennis lovers. Will Alcaraz bag his sixth will Sinner his fifth?

Sunday’s action item: The final starts in the evening. The stadium will be full. Weather in New York should be good. Both players are fit and ready for it. Alcaraz said he loves these big moments. Sinner agreed it’s fun to face tough opponents.
